Apple Inc's iPhone Business: 3 Things Investors Need to Know

Image
Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) fundamentally redefined the concept of the smartphone with its 2007 introduction of the original iPhone. In the years following, the company has led the way in bringing significant, even game-changing features that have helped transform the smartphone into arguably the most important -- and most used -- computing device category in today's world. The iPhone, unsurprisingly, is far and away Apple's most important product category from a business and financial point of view. Today, I'd like to go over three key facts about Apple's iPhone business that current and potential investors in the company should be keenly aware of. Having connectivity issues with an iPhone 7 through Verizon? Apple released a fix

Image
Verizon iPhone 7 users have been experiencing a few issues with their cellular coverage since the device was released, but Apple has now released an update that should clear up those problems. The update, which has the version number 10.0.3, is solely focused on fixing the connectivity issues for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, so don’t expect to see any other cool new features once your phone has updated. The brief release notes included with the iOS 10.0.3 update states the release “fixes bugs including an issue where some users could temporarily lose cellular connectivity.” This appears aimed at addressing some reported difficulties with particular cellular networks, ranging from dropped calls to an inability to maintain an LTE connection. If you have experienced any such issues with an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, updating to iOS 10.0.3 should help. Updating to iOS 10.0.3 iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus owners can download the latest iOS 10.0.3 bug fix update now from the Software Update mechanism within Settings app, or through iTunes. As always, backup your iPhone before updating system software. Backing up to iCloud or iTunes, or both, is strongly recommended. iOS 10.0.3 IPSW Download Links For those who...
